June L. (Lewis) Hess, 96, of York Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Levere M. Hess, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage until his passing in 2011.

Born in York on June 13, 1928, June was the daughter of the late William and Alice (Goodling) Lewis.

She spent much of her life as a dedicated silk screener at a local box factory. A woman of deep faith and gentle grace, June was a longtime and devoted member of Spry Church – Pine Grove Campus, formerly Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Her faith and family were central pillars of her life.

June found joy in the simple pleasures of life: tending her garden, admiring her flowers, and watching the birds from her window. She loved word puzzles and spent countless happy hours watching her favorite game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

She is survived by her loving children, William Dull, Betty Jane Kennedy, and Barbara Dull; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her sons, Robert, Richard, and Lee Dull; her four brothers; and one sister.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Spry Church – Pine Grove Campus, 2523 Pine Grove Rd., York, PA 17403. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, with interment at Pine Grove United Methodist Cemetery.
