Karl E. Sechrist, of York, PA, passed away on April 14, 2023 at the York Hospital.

He was married to his late wife, Charlotte Leight Sechrist for 65 years, when she passed in 2021.

Karl was born in York and was the son of the late Harold L. Sechrist, Sr., and Evelyn R. (Miller) Sechrist.

He is survived by his children, Bonnie Sechrist Stiles and Keith Sechrist and his wife Theresa; grandson, Wesley Stiles & his wife Sarah.  Three great-grandchildren, Luke, Alice & Jack; sister, Marilyn Dodson and her husband Ernie; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and his grand dog Cooper.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold L. Sechrist, Jr., and his wife Nancy.

Karl graduated from William Penn Senior High School in 1955, where he played basketball and baseball. He worked for Borg Warner/ York International until his retirement.

Karl enjoyed restoring and showing classic cars and won many trophies. He and his wife loved to travel. Together they built a home in Potter County where they spent a lot of time during their retirement years. Karl loved to hunt as well.

A viewing will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, followed by a graveside service at 1:30 PM in Heiland View Cemetery in Red Lion.
