Kathleen Ann Hildebrant, 84, passed away peacefully at Rest Haven-York on Monday, December 23rd. She was born on November 29, 1940, in Auburn, NY, and was the daughter of the late Kennett DeLano and Josephine (Syracusa) DeLano.

Kathleen devoted much of her life to nurturing and caring for others. As a teacher at Christ Lutheran Daycare in Dallastown, she touched the hearts of many young children, instilling in them a love of learning. Beyond her work with children, Kathleen was an avid lover of animals, particularly Rottweilers. She bred, raised, and showed these beautiful dogs for many years, leaving behind a legacy of excellence in her chosen breed. Kathleen was a passionate horsewoman, dedicating countless hours to training horses and honing her skills. She was also an avid gardener where she found peace in the beauty of her garden and spent many hours tending to her plants and flowers.

Kathleen was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her daughter, Kim M. Burg, and her fiancé, Randall Dorsey; granddaughter, Christina Hildebrant; and her brother, Richard DeLano. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Howard J. Hildebrant and her son, Richard D. Hildebrant.

In accordance with Kathleen's wishes, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation in her honor.
