Keith A Collier went to be with the Lord January 21, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He was a graduate of Dallastown Area High School in 1973.
Mr. Collier attended Penn State University, York PA, and worked at Sears Roebuck & Company in the 1970's. In 1979, he started working at Dallastown Area High School where he worked as audio visual and Stage Crew Coordinator for more than 25 Years.
Mr. Collier also volunteered as a leader for the Boy Scouts. He worked in a variety of capacities for more than 25 years, including Troop 69, Jacobus PA, and Venture Crew 2069, Hanover PA, as well as working on many projects at Wizard Ranch, Camp Conewago, and summer camp staff at Camp Tuckahoe.
Mr. Collier's service is highly valued as he trained not only Boy Scouts but Activity Staff and Adult Leaders for decades.
He was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Dallastown, where he used his wonderful singing voice in the choir and as a soloist. He served as a member and President of the church Consistory board, and helped maintain the sound system and other equipment. He also enjoyed singing karaoke at many venues in York.
Mr. Collier is survived by his brother, Bruce A. Collier, and stepmother, Linda A. Bumbaugh Wert Collier, both of York. He was predeceased by his mother, M. Kathleen Collier and just recently by his father, George W. Collier. Keith was known as a kind, giving person and his light in the world will be missed by his family and many friends.
A graveside service will be at held at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, January 27
th
beginning at 2pm with Pastor Kevin L. Becker officiating. The service is open to the public and guests are asked to meet at the cemetery entrance by 1:45 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., Dallastown.
