Lee M. Shenberger, 79, of Red Lion, PA, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Red Lion on August 12, 1946, Lee was the son of the late Morris G. Shenberger and Bernice L. (Smith) Shenberger. He graduated with the Class of 1966 from Red Lion Area Senior High School and spent his life deeply rooted in the family he loved dearly.

On March 25, 1967, Lee married Cheryl Shenberger. Their 59 years together were marked by unwavering devotion, hard work, faith, and a deep commitment to family.

Lee began his career as a mechanic at the House of Windsor Cigar Factory, where he first met Cheryl. He later spent the majority of his career at M&M Mars, Incorporated as a Mechanic and Reliability Engineer, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. Known for his incredible work ethic and mechanical skill, Lee truly was a "jack of all trades." If something was broken, family and friends knew Lee could fix it. His children and grandchildren especially loved bringing him broken toys and gadgets, confident that Pappy would always make them work again.

Lee enjoyed life's simple pleasures — shooting sporting clays, attending car shows with his beloved AMC cars, and spending quality time with his family. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved, helping his family, and working with his hands.

Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Shenberger; his children, Kevin Shenberger and his wife Jane, and Teresa Alva and her husband Allan; grandchildren Andrew Mann, Karyn Gray, Christopher Shenberger, Alia Alva, and Aidan Alva; and great-grandchildren Hudson Gray and Haylee Gray. He is also survived by his older sister, Romaine Scott, and younger brother, Todd Shenberger.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his older brother, Gene Smeltzer.

Lee courageously faced health challenges related to hereditary hemochromatosis, a genetic disorder that led to liver disease and cancer. His family hopes that sharing this may bring awareness and understanding to others affected by this condition.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 18, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at Red Lion Bible Church, 105 Springvale Rd, Red Lion, PA with Pastor Steven Schmuck officiating. A viewing will be held prior beginning at 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. The family invites attendees back to the church for a fellowship meal after the burial.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Red Lion Christian School, where two of Lee's grandchildren attend.

Lee will be remembered for his quiet strength, steady hands, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and in every broken thing he lovingly repaired.
