Obituary

Lois Jean Stauffer, 89, of Winter Springs Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at home surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born in York, PA on August 30, 1932, the daughter of William and Myrtle Sheetz. She was the youngest of 5 siblings.

Lois graduated from William Penn Sr. High School and lived most of her life in York, PA where she was a short-order cook and a bartender until she retired. She moved to Florida in 2009 to escape the cold Pennsylvania winters.

She was a wonderful mother and friend to all who knew her.  Her joyful personality and happy laughter was contagious to everyone she met.  Some of her favorite hobbies were doing puzzles and coloring books and watching Jeopardy.  She attended Bingo 3 times a week and went on many beach trips and bus trips to the local casinos. She had many friends at her Senior Center.

She is survived by three sons, David Stauffer, Blaine (Sandee) Stauffer and Shane (Karen) Stauffer and two daughters, Lois Caysonis (George) and Sheila Stauffer. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren who all loved her dearly.

A viewing is scheduled for 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at The Austin Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W Main St, Dallastown, with a procession to Susquehanna Memorial Gardens leaving at 11:15 AM for a 11:30 AM graveside service and burial.
