Lori Sue Rhodes, 63, of York, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at home, where she cherished spending her time surrounded by the comfort of her loved ones. Born on December 19, 1960, in York, Lori was the daughter of Marvin Ferree of Jacobus, PA and the late Sandy Ferree.

Lori's professional life was spent as a machine operator at several companies, including Olin in Red Lion, C-P Converters in Emigsville, and, most notably, Pfaltzgraff in York, a job she truly enjoyed. Outside of her work, Lori had a variety of passions that brought her immense joy. She was an avid watcher of her beloved soap operas, found serenity in tending to her flowers, and loved watching the birds that visited her home. Baking cookies was one of her favorite pastimes which was evident around the holidays, specifically her love for Christmas, she embraced the season with warmth and joy.

Lori shared 35 years of love, laughter, and memories with her devoted husband, Bryan L. Rhodes. They were married for 23 wonderful years, and their bond was a testament to their enduring love. She is also survived by her son, Ed Covert Jr., and his companion, Annie; her father, Marvin Ferree; her sister, Marcia Ferree; her brother, Mike Ferree, and his companion, Ann. Lori's legacy will live on through her two grandchildren, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who were blessed to know her.

Per Lori's request, all services are private. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions in her name be made to the American Cancer Society and/or the Alzheimer's Association, causes that were close to her heart.

Lori will be remembered for her warm spirit and kind heart; her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
