Louise M. (Krout) Raver, 92 Dallastown passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 14, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late E. "Tony" Raver, who passed October 24, 2017.

Born June 26, 1926 in Dallastown, she was a daughter of the late John and Tillie (Godfrey) Krout.

Louise was faithful member of Codorus Church of the Brethren for over 60 years, where she sang in the choir and with a girls' trio. She loved to take pictures and write poetry. In her teens, she worked at Jasmine Sewing Factory making Army and Navy shirts, then went to work at the York Caramel Factory for nearly 10 years. In 1954, she went to work at the Caterpillar plant in the parts department, from which she took an early retirement in 1983. She then spent her time doing volunteer work at the Heart to Heart Gift Shop, and also helped as a driver for Meals on Wheels in Red Lion. She also developed an interest in crafts, and used her talents to macramé chairs and ladies' pocketbooks, and to crochet afghans, doilies and many other beautiful things. She especially enjoyed the many winters she and her husband spent in Florida where she loved walking the beach and looking for shells. She loved her family and their large gatherings where everyone always had a great time.

Louise is survived by her sister, Ruth C. Miller of York, as well as many other loving nieces, nephews, family members and dear friends.

A funeral service to celebrate Louise's life will be held on Tuesday, December 18th at 11am at Codorus Church of the Brethren; 1129 Dunkard Valley Rd; Dallastown, PA 17313. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Tuesday at the church from 10am until the start of the service. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
