Lucille Budesheim, 93 of York, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Autumn House West Assisted Living. She was the loving wife of the late Eugene (Budy) Budesheim who passed away April 12, 2017 after 68 years of marriage.
Mrs Budesheim was born in Oswego NY on December 6, 1927 to the late James and Orella (Ness) Kohler.
Lucille's family moved back to Dallastown when she was very young. She was a 1945 graduate of Dallastown High School. She was a lifelong and active member of Bethlehem Methodist Church of Dallastown. Lucille worked for the former Borg Warner Corporation, Strine Printing and Print O Stat until her retirement. Lucille and her husband were members of the Cotillion Dance Club and Syncopation Dance Club of York. They were also members of the Dallastown Legion and Dallastown Golden Agers. They considered themselves fortunate to have been able to do a lot of traveling, and met many people they kept in touch with over the years.
Lucille leaves two children, Michael and his wife Susan of Red Lion and Jane Duffy and her husband Bill of Rehoboth Beach DE, She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Chris Budesheim and wife Desiree, Katey Eisenstein and husband Ryan, and Sarah Duffy Sachs and husband Eric; great grandchildren, Brock Budesheim and wife Fredia, David Budesheim and Madelyn Eisenstein; and great, great granddaughter Layla Budesheim along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and daughter Julie, Lucille loved to tell everyone that she was the tenth of eleven children, they have also preceded her in death; brothers , Henry, Jessie, Richard and Robert: sisters, Helen, Velma, Mary, Fay, Betty and JoAnn.
A private graveside service will be held at Mt Rose Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Bethlehem United Methodist Church 109 E Main St Dallastown PA 17313. Services are under the direction of the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc.
