Margaret J. (Hale) Tome, 90, of Dallastown, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Tome. The couple were married for over 68 years until his passing in 2020.

Margaret left family and friends in preparation for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Born on October 14, 1930, in Harland County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late William and Mae (Hodge) Hale. Her family later moved to Dallastown where she graduated from Dallastown High School.

Margaret was a longtime member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, where she loved helping make Sprite cookies every year.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mabel Mayhew and her husband Dub, and sister, Geneva Hale.

She is survived by her son, Tommy and his wife Cheryl; daughter, Stephanie and her husband Todd; granddaughter, Vanessa and her husband Andrew, and great-grandson, William.

A funeral service to honor Margaret's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 5 ^th at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 East Main St., Dallastown. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will follow in Home Cemetery.
