Obituary

Margaret W. (Warner) Frey, 99 years, 6 months, 22 days, of Felton, passed away on October 28, 2017 at her home. She was the wife of the late Earl R. Frey, who passed away October 1, 2000.

Born April 7, 1918 in Felton, she was a daughter of the late William O. and Carena L. (Miller) Warner.

Margaret was a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church, where she also enjoyed membership in the quilt club. Her exceptional skill also earned her many awards as a blue ribbon quilter. During her professional life, she was a production manager at Bonnie Ann Sportswear in Dallastown. Margaret will be especially remembered as a lifelong learner with smiling blue eyes, as well as a skilled card player who made the world's best lemon sponge pies.

Margaret is survived by 4 children: Carole F. Dobbie, wife of the late J. Christopher Dobbie of Downers Grove, IL, Earl R, "Rick" Frey of Naperville, IL., Mark W. Frey and his wife, Joyce of Felton and Kirk E. Frey and his wife, Jan of York; 10 grandchildren: Erin Frey and her significant other, Chris of Elm City, NC., Lesa Bradford and her husband, Andy of Mokena, IL., Adam Frey of Marion, IA., Eric Frey of Oklahoma City, OK., Matthew Frey of Ohio State University, Marjo Frey and her husband Dhani Thomas of York, Elizabeth Frey and her husband, Joe Fourhman of Felton, Jessica Glassmyer and husband, Robert of York, Michael Frey and his wife, Meghan of Etters and Andrew "Jimmy" Frey of York; 8 great-grandchildren: Tyler Franczak, Willis Frey, Christopher Glassmyer, Anna Frey, Stella Frey, Kaylee Flinchbaugh, Molly Frey and Michael Frey, Jr., as well as many other loving family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by 4 siblings: Lloyd Warner, Romaine Owens, W. Clair Warner and C. Clara Smith.

A service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held at 12 noon on Friday, November 3rd at St. James Lutheran Church; 2335 Cramer Rd., Brogue. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Friday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will immediately follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

For those desiring, memorial donations in Margaret's name may be made to St. James Lutheran Church at the above address or to a charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home in Dallastown.
