Marguerite H. Weister, 98, of York, passed peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024, at York South Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was the loving wife of the late Stanley Weister, Jr. with whom she shared 61 years of marriage, until his passing on November 3, 2009.

Born February 18, 1926, in Mahaffey, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Wilma (Nolen) Henry.

Mrs. Weister was a secretary with Verizon, York, and PADE Auto Auction, Strinestown, PA. She was a faithful member of Messiah Church, York and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and going on bus trips. A talented crocheter, she crocheted beautiful afghans, sweaters, scarves, and hats. Mrs. Weister loved raccoons and had a pet raccoon named Spunky. She had a collection of raccoon ornaments, with no two alike, that would fill her Christmas tree.

She is survived by her daughter, Darla Stover and husband Ronald Boyer, Red Lion; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Weister, Dover; granddaughters, Laura Massa and husband Michael, Gaithersburg, MD and Amanda Myers and husband Andrew, Hanover, PA and great grandchildren, Easton Massa, Sarah Myers, Lucas Myers, and Lane Myers.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Stanley K. Weister and granddaughter, Holly Weister.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 10:45 AM at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York with Rev. Todd A. Christine officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Massa, Andrew Myers, Easton Massa, and Ronald Boyer.
