Obituary

Mark J. Lewandowski, 70, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in Pasadena, Maryland, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was the devoted husband of the late Karen E. (Wright) Lewandowski, with whom he shared 33 years of marriage until her passing.

Born on April 23, 1956, in Baltimore, Maryland, Mark was the son of the late Casimir A. Lewandowski and Evelyn (Hevener) Lewandowski.

Mark was a 1974 graduate of Loch Raven High School. A hardworking man who took great pride in his trade. He spent most of his life working as a roofer. Throughout his career, he worked for Double D Roofing and Ream Roofing before becoming co-owner of SLP Roofing.

An avid sports fan, Mark especially enjoyed playing golf and cheering on the Baltimore Orioles. He was also an enthusiastic sports card collector. Above all else, he treasured spending time with his family and the memories they made together.

Mark was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His family was his greatest source of pride, and the love he had for them was unmistakable. He will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the laughter, stories, traditions and memories he leaves behind. His presence will be deeply missed and forever carried in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is survived by his two children, Tristin N. Ziegenhein and her husband, Frederick, and Joseph M. Lewandowski and his wife, Melinda; his grandchildren, Chesnie, Berklie, Dierks and Trace Ziegenhein, and Gavin, Griffin, McKenna and Kamren Leiphart; his sister, Sharon Harner and her husband, Lane; his mother-in-law, Marie Wright; his brother-in-law, Edward Wright and his wife, Megan; as well as his nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved four-legged best friend, Skye.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Karen, Mark was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Orville Wright, and his sister, Barbara Carr.

A viewing will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown.
