Marlin L. Raffensberger, 81 of Red Lion, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at WellSpan Hospital in York.

Born December 23, 1940 in Dover, PA, he was the son of the late Floyd and Mary (Livingston) Raffensberger.

While Marlin served in the United States Army, he traveled throughout the United States, Europe and was stationed in Korea working as a radio tower operator. From the time of his youth, Marlin enjoyed fixing electronics and repairing cars. Upon his retirement as a Warehouse Manager for the Olin Corporation, Marlin enjoyed traveling, round dancing, woodworking, gardening, NASCAR, baseball and fitness classes. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was a devout Christian, kind and most of all, admired for cheerful attitude and sense of humor.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Sylvester and her husband Marty of York, his daughter Joanna Rearick and her husband Darrell of New Cumberland, his sisters Irene Wilt of York and Marian Kimmel of Dover, his brother Ray Raffensberger of Dover, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and loving family members.

In addition to his parents, Marlin was preceded in death by his brother George, his late wife Jane (Stone) Raffensberger and his late wife, Arlene (Kemp) Raffensberger.

A funeral service to celebrate Marlin's life will be held on Tuesday, June 14th at 11:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church; 126 West Main Street, Dallastown, PA 17313 with Pastor Patti Bream officiating. The opportunity to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, 2705 West Canal Road, Dover, PA 17315 with a luncheon to follow in the recreational building near Salem United Church of Christ.
