Martha E. (Bentz) Baer, 95 of Dallastown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15 at the Senior Commons at Powder Mill. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard W. Baer.

Mrs. Baer was born in York on June 28, 1922 and was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Martha E. (Dentler) Bentz.

Martha was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a 50 year member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church of Dallastown. Martha was known for her kindness and generally could be found helping someone else. She was an avid walker and enjoyed taking exercise classes at Senior Commons, where she was also named resident of the month. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Steven Baer and his wife Margaret of Dallastown and is also survived by her sister, Hazel Druck of York.  In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by a sister, Edna Heiland and her brother, Frank Bentz.

Following cremation, a memorial service to honor Martha's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 21 at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with the Rev. Roger Mentzer officiating. Interment will be private.
