Martha C. (Ward) Lewis , 91 of Dover passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 12, 2023.  She was the beloved wife of the late Russell E. Lewis, whom she married on November 24, 1949 and shared 73 years of marriage until his passing on November 26, 2022.

Born November 24, 1931 in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Mary C. (Crockett) Ward.

Mrs. Lewis loved her cats and doggies.  She also loved sweets and desserts, which she always "left a little spot" for after meals.  She also cherished her stuffed teddy bears, which she collected.

Martha is survived by two children: Mark R. Lewis and his wife, Carol of Baltimore and Mary Ann Weaver and her husband, Thomas of Dover ; three grandchildren: Christine Oyler, Frank Kaskie and Jimmy Lewis; three great-grandchildren: Katelyn Gentzler, Victoria Gentzler and Joseph Kaskie.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Kevin Lewis.

A funeral service to celebrate Martha's life will be held on Friday, August 18th at 11am at Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc.; 104 W. Main St. in Dallastown with Chaplain Katherine Seiler officiating.  Burial will be held privately by the family.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Friday at the funeral home from 10am until the start of the service.
