Marvin Leslie Weyant, born on October 25, 1943, lovingly known as "Pap" to his family, passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 82.

Born and raised in Bedford, Pennsylvania, Marvin was the son of the late Dorsey Blaine Weyant and Lois Rebecca (Way) Weyant. He was one of eleven children, growing up surrounded by a large and close-knit family that helped shape the strong, steady man so many came to know and love.

He graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School in 1961, where he proudly wrestled and played football. In 1963, Marvin enlisted in the United States Army alongside his brother and rose to the rank of Specialist 4. While stationed at Fort Belvoir, he met the love of his life, Arlene, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love and devotion until her passing in 2011.

Marvin spent his working years at Caterpillar Tractor Company, where he dedicated himself to providing for his family before retiring. Outside of work, he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates fan, rarely missing a chance to cheer on his teams.

Above all else, Marvin was a devoted family man. He found his greatest joy in the presence of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who affectionately knew him as "Pap." His quiet strength, steady presence, and deep love for his family will be remembered always.

He is survived by his children: Lydia Szumachowski and her husband Greg; Molly Martin; and Tracey Kotomski and her husband Raymond. He was a proud grandfather to Darren Parrish and wife Amy, Ashlyn Watkins, Brandi Richardson and her husband Anthony, Louis Neth III and partner Ashley, Cassady Carter and her husband Ben, and Jayce Martin. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Jude Watkins, Ellie Richardson, Ensley Richardson, and Brewer Carter.

Marvin is also survived by his siblings Janet Claar, Mona Morehead, and Loren Weyant, along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his beloved wife Arlene, he was preceded in death by several siblings.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his home health aide, Regina of Always There Homecare, for the compassionate care and support she provided in his final days.

A service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc. 104 W. Main St. Dallastown, PA with a viewing held prior from 10:00 A.M. until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends are invited to a gathering at 1:00 P.M. at Church of the Open Door, East York Campus.

Marvin's legacy of love, dedication, and family will live on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
