Mary V. (Flinchbaugh) Kornbau, 72 of Red Lion passed away on October 2, 2018 at her home.  She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Kornbau for 51 years.

Born June 3, 1946 in York, she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Jeanette (Siple) Flinchbaugh.

After graduating from Northeastern in 1964, Mary married the love her life, Bob in 1967.  She was a seamstress for 20 years, and also spent 12 years as a deli worker at Jerry's Great Value.  She will be remembered as a dedicated animal lover, and a member of Humane Society of the US and of the ASPCA.  She was also a faithful member of the ADA.  Mary also enjoyed growing flowers, reading, and collecting teddy bears and chickens.  Most importantly, she will always be remembered as a very good mom.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Sherri Goss and her husband, Chuck of York;   also survived by her 2 brothers, Ervin Flinchbaugh, Jr. and his wife, Cookie of York and Curtis Flinchbaugh of York.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her step-brother, William Winters.

A funeral service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Saturday, October 6th at 10am the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc.; 104 W. Main St., Dallastown with Chaplain Rob Granzow officiating.  A time to gather and share memories will also be on Saturday from 9am until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York.
