Mary M. Myers, 91 of Shrewsbury passed away peacefully on Friday, November 13, 2020 at SpiriTrust Lutheran Village at Shrewsbury. She was the beloved wife of the late Melvin G. Myers, who passed away March 21, 1993.
Born December 2, 1928 in York, she was a daughter of the late N. Walter and Minnie M. (Zeigler) Stine.
Mary was a member of Yorkana Church of the Brethren. She is fondly remembered as a skilled seamstress who made many articles of clothing for her family, as well as quilts, dolls and other beautiful masterpieces. She also studied stone masonry and ceramic work. Her family extends special thanks to the staff at York Hospital and the Village at Shrewsbury in Personal Care and Skilled Nursing for the exceptional care they provided to Mary.
Mrs. Myers is survived by 4 daughters: Darlene M. Reichard and her husband, Ronnie of Red Lion, PA, Caroline J. Weaver and her husband, Ray of Eckert, CO, Marlene M. Jacobs and her husband, Ken of Clinton, TN and Angie J. Landis and her husband, Scott of Sierra Vista, AZ; 8 grandchildren: Ben, Bryan, Annette, Dan, Joseph, Luke, Laura and Caleb; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 4 siblings: Charles Stine, Helen Naill, Dorothy Steele and Robert Stine, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by 3 siblings: Ralph, Floyd and Pauline.
A funeral service to celebrate Mary's life will be held at 10am on Friday, November 20 th at New Fairview Church of the Brethren; 1873 New Fairview Church Rd. in York with Pastor David Krape officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
