Michael J. Kachurak, aged 77, died on Monday, December 24, 2018, after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was a graduate of St. Vincent High School, received his bachelor's degree from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and his master's degree from Loyola University in Baltimore, MD.

Mike served in the United States Air Force for 4 years as a military policeman, and he continued to serve his community as a high school Spanish teacher in the Baltimore County school system for 32 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and truly enjoyed being outdoors.

Michael is survived by his wife of 51 years, Florence Kachurak; his son, Paul Kachurak and daughter-in-law, Katherine Sullivan; his daughter, Kristen, and son-in-law, Jim Foye; five grandchildren: Madeleine, Faith, and Cecilia Kachurak, Louise and Shaun Foye; his brothers, Jim, Tom, and Paul; and a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Kubik. They miss him deeply already.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8pm on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 West Main Street, Dallastown, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 251 E. Main Street, Dallastown, PA.
