Mildred R. (Freed) Glatfelter, 95 of York passed away peacefully at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehab on Saturday, December 17, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of the late Alvin L. Glatfelter who passed away in 1995.

Born October 25, 1927 in York County, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lottie (Lentz) Freed.

Mrs. Glatfelter graduated from York High School in 1945 and was a member of Glenview Alliance Church.  After high school, she worked at Acco and later retired from York Mail Service.

Mildred is survived by three children: Beverly Gotwalt and her husband Robert of Dover, PA, Steven Glatfelter and his wife Cyndie of Honey Grove, PA and Gregory Glatfelter and his companion, Cathy of Jefferson, PA; three siblings: Mary Carbaugh (wife of the late Dale) of FL, David Freed and his wife, Beth of York, PA and Donald Freed and his wife, Sue of FL; three grandsons; four great-grandsons; one great granddaughter and one great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Andy.

A funeral service to honor Mildred's life will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, December 21 ^st at Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc.; 104 W. Main St. in Dallastown.  Interment will follow in Salem Union Cemetery in Jacobus.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 12 noon until the start of the service.
