Nancy Ellen (Gemmill) Blake passed away peacefully on March 9, 2023. She was the daughter of Russell and Elva (Flinchbaugh) Gemmill, brother of John Gemmill, and wife of Neil Blake (who proceeded her into death on February 19, 2023).

She is survived by her sons Scott and John Blake, as well grandchildren Ian Russell and Olivia Nicole Blake.

Nancy can best be described as a 'force of nature' who lived life to the fullest. She attended Ursinus College and worked as a librarian assistant for the Red Lion School District for many years. She was also very involved with local politics with the York County Republican Party and York College Alumni Association. Nancy was also an avid golfer and played just about every day until her health began to deteriorate.

Per her wishes, Nancy requested that there will be no funeral and she will be cremated. Her sons will be working to find a venue to host a party to celebrate her life and will notify her friends of that. Nancy also requested that anyone who is so inclined could make a donation in her name to York College of Pennsylvania.
