Nancy R. Kiefel, 88 of Orlando, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 23 rd at Encore at Avalon Park in Orlando, FL. She was the beloved wife of the late Lt. Col. Ernst P. Kiefel, USAF, who was Missing in Action in the Vietnam War since 1966.
Born November 6, 1933, in Yoe, PA, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Esther I. (Neff) Raver. A 1952 graduate of Red Lion High School, she completed Nurse's Training at Temple University in Philadelphia. Nancy spent many years in dedicated service as a nurse, working at Seitz's Nursing Home in Dallastown and later at Dallastown Family Medicine, until her retirement in 2006. She was an active member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, taking walks, and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Kiefel is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Kiefel) Patterson, of The Villages, Florida, and her husband Donald; grandsons, Sean and Ian; and her sister, Elaine E. (Raver) Glines, of York.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Aloha M. Kiefel, and her brother, Donald S. Raver.
A funeral service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held on Friday, February 4 th at 11:00am at Bethlehem United Methodist Church; 109 E. Main St; Dallastown, PA 17313 with Rev. Stephany S. Sechrist officiating. Interment will follow in Dallastown Union Cemetery. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Friday at the church from 9:30 until the start of the service.
