Nancy L. (Lentz) Tome, 83, of Hellam, passed away on Wednesday, April 27 th at ProMedica Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation (York South).

Nancy was born in York on October 20, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Ellard H. and Romaine E. (Schrum) Lentz.

Nancy was a rural mail carrier for the United State Post office and retired after many years of service. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life. She loved spending time, playing games, coloring, and spoiling them. As grandmothers should.  She formed a special bond with her great granddaughter Mariah, after living with her for many years.

She is survived by her four children, Vicki L. Knokey, David A. Tome, Scott E. Tome and Jane M. Kessler. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jessica, Zach, Lisa, Matt, William and Katrina; 16 great grandchildren; and her siblings, Jervis "Sonny" Lentz, Rodney Lentz, Carol Daugherty, and Sandra Bortner. She was preceded in death by her sons-in-law, Edsel Knokey and Maurice "Skip" Kessler and great granddaughter, Vada Weiandt.

A viewing will take place on Tuesday, May 3 rd , from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown and then again at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 4 th , from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Salem Union Cemetery.

Donations can be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, www.hdsa.org , in honor of her late son-in-law, "Skip."
