Nathan L. McNew, 35 of Red Lion, passed away at his residence on Saturday, August 4.

Mr. McNew was born in York and was the son of Kris A. and Luanne (Noll) McNew.

Nathan was a 2000 graduate of Red Lion High School. He loved spending time in the outdoors, especially hiking and kayaking at Long Level in Wrightsville. In his youth Nathan had a passion for skateboarding and frequented local skate parks. He also played organized sports, including tee ball, soccer and basketball.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kristi N. Axe; nephews, Tavien M. and Cayden A. Axe. He is also survived by his aunts, Deborah Wisenall, Pamela Hivner and Abby Linecamp; as well as many cousins and extended family.

Following cremation, a Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, August 9 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 251 E. Main St., Dallastown, with Fr. Topper officiating. Prior to the Mass, a visitation with the family will be held at the church on Thursday and will begin at 10:30 AM.  Interment will be private.
