Ned Roger Kinard passed away peacefully on November 14, 2019 at Manor Care - Dallastown.  He was the husband of Julia (Spyker) Kinard for 70 years.

He was the son of the late Ivan Kinard and Iva (Grove) Kinard.

In addition to his wife, Ned is survived by his five children, Brenda Herr (and Wayne) , Roxanne Baer (and Denny), Monte Kinard (and Faye Roseman Kinard), Blandi Kinard and Tracy Clutter (and Dan) ; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Richard, sister, Norma Flinchbaugh, grandson, Adam Sullivan and great grandchild, Jazmine Cope.

Upon graduation from Red Lion High School, Ned joined the military, serving in the Merchant Marines and the Army until his honorable discharge in 1948. He then went to work as a plumber for his family's business, I.G.F. Kinard until his retirement in 2004.

Ned was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church, Red Lion; belonged to the American Legion and Free Masons of Red Lion, as well as Tall Cedars. He was also a former member of RL/Felton Band, the Horseshoe Pitchers' Association and was a lifetime business member of the Izaak Walton League.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports (an avid Penn State fan), playing the trombone, cards and his wife's home cooking.

Ned was a donor to the Humanity Gifts Registry. A service to honor his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 21at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with his neighbor, Rev. Beth A. Schlegel officiating. A visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home on Thursday and will begin at 1:00 PM until the start of the memorial service.
