Obituary

Norman Samuel Keeney, 89, of N. Hopewell Twp., died Thursday, February 11 th at his home. He was the beloved husband of Norma Jean (Floyd) Keeney. The couple celebrated their 70 th wedding anniversary on December 23 rd .

Mr. Keeney was born in North Hopewell Twp. on October 17, 1931 and was the son of the late Norman and Elsie (Godfrey) Keeney.

Norman was a self-employed contractor and was the owner of Norman Keeney and Sons Remodeling for years. He was also a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Conservative Brethren Church at Millbaugh. He enjoyed hunting and spending time in the mountains.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five children, Eugene Keeney and his wife Florence, of Felton, Michael Keeney and his wife Darlene, of Red Lion, James Keeney and his wife Pandy, of Perry County, Darlene Noecker and her husband Samuel, of Red Lion, and Sueann Stump and her husband Jeffrey, of Felton. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and his sister, Dorothy Marks of Hart, MI. He was preceded in death by his two brothers and two sisters.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until Noon, on Tuesday, February 16 th at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, PA 17313. A private service and burial will be held by the family following the viewing. All attendees of the viewing are required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
