Obituary

Paul L. Hildebrand, 86 of Red Lion, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 at UPMC Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Hildebrand was born in York on October 16, 1938, and was the son of the late Mervin and Irene (Flory) Hildebrand.

Paul proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany.  He retired as a foreman from Glen Gery. He was a member of the Red Lion VFW Post 1446, where in the past he played Santa Claus for the kids during their Christmas Party. He enjoyed woodworking and listening to music.

He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Hildebrand and her husband Charles Barrett; grandchildren, Jordon Barrett, Ashley Barrett, and Natalie Barrett; great grandchildren, Natalyn Novin, Mason Novin, Declan Novin, Octavia Barrett and Liam Barrett. He is also survived by his sister, Martha Ruppert and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, baby Paul, as well as his siblings, Yvonne Grove, Joan Hildebrand, Ralph Hildebrand, Glenn Hildebrand, Marvin Hildebrand, Mervin Hildebrand and Marian Sterner.

A service to honor Paul's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 21, 2025, at The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment to follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
