Peggy Sue (Markey) Knaub, 62 of Red Lion, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30 at the York Hospital.

Mrs. Knaub was born in York on August 10, 1955 and was the daughter of the late Harry "Bud" and Marilyn (Bookmeyer) Markey.

Peggy was a 1973 graduate of Dallastown Area High School and also was a graduate of Bloomsburg State College. She was a longtime member of Codorus Church of the Brethren. Peggy's greatest joy was doing for others and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.

She is survived by her son Andy Knaub and his wife Becky of York; two grandsons, Logan and Tanner Knaub; brother, Gregg Markey of York and her sister, Julie Landis. She is also survived by her niece, Jamie Scott and her companion JD Downie; and two great nephews, John and James Scott.

A funeral service to honor Peggy's  life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 3 at Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Rd., Dallastown, PA 17313, with Pastor Ben Godfrey officiating. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday and will begin at 9:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will follow in Codorus Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Codorus Church of the Brethren.
