Obituary

Phyllis E. Eveler, 90, passed away peacefully at Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, on Tuesday, December 7.

Ms. Eveler was born in Windsor on March 13, 1931 and was one of seven children to the late George L. and Elsie I. (Barshinger) Eveler.

Phyllis was a 1949 graduate of Red Lion High School and a 1957 graduate of Eastern Bible Institute, currently named Valley Forge Christian College. She worked as a longtime secretary for Dale Realty in Red Lion. Phyllis previously sang solos at Windsor Assembly of God. She loved traveling throughout the United States and internationally.

She is survived by two sisters, Brenda Saylor and her husband Ted, of Red Lion and Carolyn Smith and her husband Jerry, of New Jersey, as well as a brother, Bruce Eveler and his wife Marilyn, of Windsor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, George Eveler Jr., Robert G. Eveler, and Melvin J. Eveler.

A viewing will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 11, at The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM, with her brother-in-law, the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating.  Interment to follow in Windsor Cemetery.
