Preston E. Keener, 102, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, at York South Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on October 17, 1922, in Jacobus, PA, to the late Levi E. Keener and Dora E. (nee Dise) Keener.

On October 14, 1943, Preston married the love of his life, Margaret Estelle (nee Gentzler) Keener, who passed away on February 28, 2001. Together, they built a beautiful life, and their enduring love is remembered by their family.

Preston was raised on the family farm on Spartan Road in York Township and lived a full and meaningful life. A proud and hardworking man, Preston retired from A.B. Chance Pittman after 35 years of service, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Preston is survived by his son, Dennis E. Keener; five grandchildren, Darrin Keener, Bradley Keener, Sheila Hooten, Jamie Folkenroth, and Danielle Rouscher. Additionally, he leaves behind six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews, all of whom brought him much joy and pride. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Keener; three sisters and three brothers.

A viewing will be held at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, on Monday, April 21, beginning at 10:00 AM. A funeral service to celebrate Preston's life will follow at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
