Ralph W. Harnish, 88 of York, passed into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, September 23 at the York Hospital.

Mr. Harnish was born in York on December 17, 1929 and was the son of the late James W. and Elsie (O'Neil) Harnish.

Ralph married his high school sweetheart, Mary Wilson, in 1947. Following Mary's passing, he met his second love, Rose Marie Feathers, and they were married in 1989.

Ralph was a 1947 graduate of William Penn High School. He was a supervisor at Caterpillar Tractor Company where he retired after many years of service. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Dallastown and was active in the Dallastown Lion's Club. Ralph enjoyed living life to the fullest surrounded by his family.

In addition to his wife Rose Marie, he is survived by his two children, Judy Harnish Sprenkel of Seminole, FL and James Harnish and his wife Audrey of Prescott Valley, AZ; step children, Robert Feathers and his wife Christine, Michelle Fitz and her husband John and Patricia Bowersox and her husband David, all of York. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor Ralph's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 27 at the Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 E. Main St., Dallastown, with Kimberlee Piper officiating. A visitation with the family will be held at the church on Thursday, and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will follow in Kreutz Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ralph's name can be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church or to the Dallastown Lion's Club.
