Ray Allen Wilson, 86, of Palmyra, formerly of Red Lion, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing at Palmyra. He was the loving husband of the late Jean I. (McDonald) Wilson; together they shared 62 years of marriage before her passing in 2020.

Born Saturday, February 5, 1938 in Airville, he was the son of the late Arthor Wilson and Jenny E. (Tome) Hoffmaster.

Mr. Wilson worked as a barber at the York County Shopping Center and in his free time he enjoyed working on antique trucks, pedal cars, fishing, metal detecting and golfing.

Ray is survived by his children, Peggy S. Snyder and her husband David L. of Red Lion, Wanda M. Wise and her husband Samuel C. of Outer Banks, NC and Kevin R. Wilson of Red Lion. He is also survived by his grandchildren, David L. Snyder, II and his wife Penny, Clinton M. Snyder and his wife Christy, (the late) Jared M. Snyder and his wife Sara, Sarah L. DeBowes and her husband Mike and Matthew C. Wise and his wife Gretchen; as well as 12 great grandchildren.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Ray will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at the St. Luke Cemetery, 2666 Furnace Rd, Felton, PA with Sister Joy Hobis officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, PA.
