Regenia C. (Chronister) Kinard, 94, of York, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, January 21 ^st while surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Jack D. Kinard. The couple were married for over 65 years, until his passing in 2013.

Mrs. Kinard was born on October 29, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Clyde and Catherine (Corrigan) Chronister.

In her younger years, Regenia worked in sales for the Golden Rule, which began her lifelong love for fashion. Later she began working for the McCrory Distribution Center in York, and retired from there after many years of service. She enjoyed politics, fashion, and enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to upstate New York.  She was a spunky lady, who always stood up for herself and was known as a "pip" by her daughters.

She is survived by her two daughters, Karen M. Kinard and Krista J. Kinard both of York; sister, Frances Snyder, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Clyde L. Chronister; sister, Phyllis Kime, as well as her beloved faithful companion, Buddy.

Per Regenia's wishes all services are private.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice and Community Care for the support and care they had given to their mother.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Regenia's name be made to Hospice and Community Care, the Salvation Army, or to a charity of your choice which benefits animals.
