Robert A. Brown Sr., 68 of Springettsbury Township, died on Sunday, June 24. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Diana Brown.

Robert "Bob" was born on November 28, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA to the late, Lawrence and Janet Brown.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Robert Brown, Jr. and his wife Annie; grandson, Oliver; his sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Charles Maneval; his brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence Jr. and Ermina Brown; his sister-in-law and husband, Sondra and Richard Hake; sister-in-law Darlene Brown; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John T. Brown and James W. Brown.

Bob worked as an electrician for 20 years at Caterpillar Tractor, transitioning to UTZ until he retired. After retirement, he continued to work part-time at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc. Bob also filled his time accomplishing life-long goals, including hiking multiple peaks in the Rocky Mountains, white-water rafting, and fly fishing in Colorado with Diana, Robert, and family. He also spent time snorkeling in the Caribbean, gardening, and restoring vintage automobiles. When he wasn't working on a hobby, he could found with his pal, Rusty, his Golden Retriever.

In the past, Bob spent seven years volunteering with the East York County Youth Sports Organization. In recent years Bob was a member of the Lanco MG Club and Darrel's Garage, where he worked with friends to help restore his son's Mini Cooper.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Stony Brook Family Medicine.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Cardiovascular Unit at Penn Medicine.
