Robert L. Buckel, 61, of York Township, passed away at WellSpan York Hospital on December 1, 2020.

Bob was born in York on September 1, 1959 and was the son of Geraldine M. (Shubert) Buckel and the late Gerald J. Buckel.

Bob was a 1977 graduate of York Catholic High School. He worked over 30 years for Walman Optical and was currently the Production Supervisor. He worked part time for Home Depot for the last 10 years. Bob was also an associate member with the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 73. He was very active in Pack 25 and Troop 49 while his sons were in Scouting. He greatly enjoyed hanging out on Tuesday nights with the "Depot Delinquents."

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his four sons; Jason Buckel, Adam Tracey and his wife Kara, Doug Buckel, and Joe Buckel. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Henry and Noah Tracey; sister, Susan Saylor; brothers, Richard Buckel, and James Buckel and his wife Denise. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Scott Saylor.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life service will be held in the spring/summer of 2021, with date and time to be determined. The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., Dallastown, is in charge of arrangements.
