Robert E. Godfrey,  87 of Dallastown passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 3 ^rd , 2021 at Victorian Villa.  He was the beloved husband of 63 years to the late Joyce E. (Seitz) Godfrey who passed away on May 23 ^rd , 2015.

Born July 30, 1933 in York, he was the son of the late Ellwood M. and Bernetta M. (Ness) Godfrey.

Robert is fondly remembered for his strong work ethic and his friendly, sociable personality.  He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force, then embarked on a long career as a truck driver.  After his retirement as a driver for Yellow Freight, he spent many years as a school bus driver for Flinchbaugh Transportation.  He especially enjoyed spending time and socializing at Maple Donuts and he loved taking his frequent "country drives".

Mr. Godfrey is survived by 3 children: his daughter, Coby S. Leber of York, his daughter, Mindy C. Godfrey of York and his son, Kim R. Godfrey of Dallastown.  He is also survived by his nephew, James R. Cunningham of York.

A graveside service to celebrate Robert's life will be held in private at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York.
