Robert L. Grove, 77 of Springwood Overlook, York, formerly of Violet Hill, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at York Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy A. (Honsermyer) Grove.

Born January 20, 1941, he was a son of the late Lester J. and Dorothy R. (Hammer) Grove.

Robert had been employed by Hanover Foods for many years prior to his retirement. He was an avid hunter, especially for turkey, loved spending time in the mountains, and was member of Dover Fish & Game and the Hawks Club.  He also cherished spending summer evenings at Jacobus baseball games.  Robert will be remembered as willing to do anything for anyone and will be especially missed by his friends at Springwood Overlook.

He is survived by his son, Scott A. Grove and his wife, Lynne of York; granddaughter, Jessica M. Grove of York; step-grandson, Daniel W. Kinard and his wife, Amber of York; brother, Leroy E. Grove (late wife, Phyllis) of Lewisberry; sister, Patsy Pomraning and her husband, Byron of York; in-laws, Sam Honsermyer and his wife, Marlene of Dover, PA, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Huson.

A graveside service to celebrate Robert's life will held at 10am on Monday, July 16th at Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave.; York, PA with Pastor Edward Ross III officiating. Guests are asked to arrive at the front gate by 9:45am.
