Robert H. Kessler, 67 of Leola, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 23 at the Brethren Village Retirement Community in Lititz. He was the beloved husband of the late Sarah (Eberly) Kessler, who died on January 19, 2012.

Mr. Kessler was born in Lancaster on January 20, 1951 and was the son of the late A. Clair and Elizabeth (Pontz) Kessler.

Bob was a graduate of Conestoga Valley High School and Penn State Mount Alto campus, where he received a degree in forestry. He worked in the grounds and maintenance department for Conestoga Valley Schools and East Lampeter Township. Bob was a life-long member of Salem (Heller's) church in Leola and was also a member of the Upper Leacock Fire Company.

He is survived by his sister, Kathryn (Kay) Kessler Lingle and her husband Daniel; as well as his late wife's siblings, Austin Eberly II, Martha Clark and Rosa Eberly. He is also survived by an aunt, Marquerite Hunchberger and a wonderful host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at St. John's Blymire's cemetery in Dallastown, where he will be buried beside his beloved wife Sarah.
