Robert Darrell Miller, 86 of Springettsbury Twp., passed away at WellSpan York Hospital on Tuesday, May 28 ^th . He was the beloved husband of Shirley R. (Jamison) Miller. The couple would have celebrated 61 years of marriage in July.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Stephanie L. Miller; sister, Shirley Cross and her husband Larry; as well his niece, Cindy Everett and nephew, David Cross.

Bob proudly served in the United States Army. He was a machinist for Kroy Manufacturing and previously worked as a maintenance mechanic for Nabisco until their closing.

Bob's passion in life was music which he carried with him throughout his entire life. He played the clarinet and saxophone and met Shirley while playing in the Felton Band.  When his daughter was young he learned to roller skate and became an accomplished roller skater, placing 2 ^nd in the Eastern Region. He and his wife also competed together in roller skating dancing. After  roller skating, Bob and Shirley learned to ball room dance. They could be found nywhere a band was playing and their photo was featured in the local newspaper several times.  Bob was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in his vegetable garden. He also had his HAM radio license and was a member of the ARRL. In the past, he and his wife enjoyed boating on the Susquehanna River.

A service to honor Bob's life will be held at noon on Saturday, June 1 ^st at The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday and will begin at 11:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will be private.
