Ronald A. Miles, Sr., 83, of York, passed away at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Dallastown, on Sunday, May 8, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Kay F. (Haas) Miles.

Mr. Miles was born in Lancaster on June 13, 1938 and was the son of the late Allen and Dorothy (Flick) Miles.

For most of his life Ronald was a forklift operator and worked for local candy manufacturers. Not known as one to relax, Ronald continued working following his retirement for Wendy's Restaurants, where he did maintenance work.  He was very involved with his church, North York Gospel Chapel.

Ronald loved to garden and tend to his plants. He was also an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. He used to love taking drives and going to the markets in the Amish area of Lancaster County with his wife.

He is survived by his two children, Debbie Rice and her husband Charles, of Columbia, PA and Ronald A. Miles, Jr., and his companion, Sara Eberly, of York. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Katie Martin, Dawn Lairs, Dayna Hockman, Keith Grove, Zachary Miles and Olivia Miles; 11 great grandchildren; and his brother, Allen Miles. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Connie King and two brothers, David Miles and William "Bill" Miles.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at North York Gospel Church, 2854 Lewisberry Rd., York, PA 17404. Interment will be private.
