Obituary

Ronald Eugene Mundis, 84 of York, passed away November 24, 2024 at the Wellspan York Hospital. He was born on January 14, 1940, in Red Lion, PA, and was the beloved son of the late Percy O. and Myrtle E. (Grove) Mundis.

Ronald was the husband of Fern (Sue) E. Mundis and together they spent 36 loving years of marriage. He was a proud father to Ronald R.C. Mundis (and wife, Judy), Shelly E. Poff, and Tim O. Mundis. He was also a loving stepfather to Carolyn D. Clark, Garon T. Anderson, Lisa F. Anderson (and fiancé Todd Barnes), and Jennifer S. Wiggins (and husband Jeffrey). He leaves behind a legacy of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom adored him.

Throughout his life, Ronald found immense satisfaction in his work. He dedicated 35 years of his life to the A&P Tea Company and later spent 15 years as a sales representative for various food distributors. His commitment and loyalty to his profession were evident in every aspect of his work. In his personal life, Ronald had a variety of interests that brought him great joy. He had a passion for flounder fishing, often spending time by the ocean, and cherished those moments of peaceful solitude. His love for sports was undeniable, and he was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins, enjoying every game from the comfort of his home. A playful spirit, Ronald found joy in the simplest of pleasures, like playing PAC-man with his grandsons. He also had a special fondness for animals, particularly the eight cats who were his constant companions.

Ronald was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly I. Riley; grandson, Jason Lynch; son-in-law, Alston Clark, and his daughter-in-law, Melissa Anderson.
