Russell E. Lewis, 94, of Dover, passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 26, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Martha C. (Ward) Lewis. The couple celebrated 73 years of marriage this past Thanksgiving Day.

Mr. Lewis was born in Baltimore, MD on May 12, 1928 and was the son of the late William A. and Virginia Ann (Sprucebank) Lewis.

Russell was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Dallastown. He was an avid Baltimore Oriole and Raven fans and enjoyed bowling.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children; son, Mark R. Lewis and his wife Carol; and daughter, Mary Ann Weaver and her husband Thomas. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Christine Oyler, Frank Kaskie, and Jimmy Lewis; as well as his three great grandchildren, Katelyn Gentzler, Victoria Gentzler and Joseph Kaskie.  He was preceded in death by his three siblings, Billy, Bobby and Leona, and a grandson, Kevin Lewis.

A service to honor Russell's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with Fr. Mark Weiss officiating.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Burial will be held privately by the family.
