Ruth A. Paules, 96 of York passed away peacefully at Country Meadows South on Sunday, November 21, 2021.  She was the beloved wife of William H. Paules, Sr. who passed away in 1984.

Born November 14, 1925 in York, she was a daughter of the late William V. and Erma (Markey) Stegner.

Ruth was a dedicated lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church of Spry.  She worked for over 50 years in the infants & girls department of Bon-Ton.  She took special delight in waiting on customers who remembered her from shopping trips when they were children.  Ruth also loved to travel with her family.  Her grandsons have fond memories of the many places they got to see because of her.

Mrs. Paules is survived by her sister, Barabra A. Slenker of Spry; her son, William H. Paules and his wife, Joyce of York; 2 grandsons: Sean Paules and Ian Paules; 1 great-grandson, Dean Paules, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Larry Stegner and James Stegner and 1 sister, Grace Boyer.

A funeral services to celebrate Ruth's life will be at 10am on Monday, November 29 ^th at Christ Lutheran Church of Spry; 2385 S. Queen St.; York, PA 17402 with Pastor Jim Polanzke officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Rose Cemetery in York.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Monday from 9am until the start of the service at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home in Dallastown.
