Sandra "Sandy" (Lescalleet) Brindle, 75, of Spry, PA, passed away on January 30, 2026, after a seven-year journey with Parkinson's disease.

Born June 4, 1950, in Carlisle, PA, she grew up in Plainfield and graduated from Big Spring High School in 1968. Shortly after graduation, Sandy started dating her fellow classmate, Terry Brindle, and they married on January 31, 1970. Sandy was a loyal friend to her classmates, always taking the time to call them or to send cards with her impeccable handwriting. Sandy loved getting together for class reunions and breakfasts. She held various jobs throughout her lifetime, from Book of the Month Club to Weis Markets, and she kept in close contact with dozens of former coworkers, often meeting them for dinner or chatting on the phone. Sandy's family always remained most valuable to her, and her treasured memories were the times she spent visiting her cousins, getting together with all of her brothers and sisters on Sundays "up-home" at the farm, and enjoying her grandsons.

Sandy was a long-time member of Otterbein United Methodist Church of Spry, where she was a Sunday school and vacation bible school teacher. She served as a leader for Cub Scout Pack 50, Brownie Troop 259, and Girl Scout Troop 260, mentoring dozens of youth. It was through Scouts that Sandy learned about Kids on the Block, a troupe of puppets with and without disabilities, who teach children about differences and similarities. Having a brother with Down Syndrome, Sandy was inspired to volunteer with the group. She also frequently gave her time to the York Township PTA and the Dallastown Marching Band.

Later in life, Sandy's became the caretaker for her younger brother Jack, who lived with her and Terry for over 20 years. The three of them became a members of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Dallastown, and they were heavily involved with Special Olympics of York County. Sandy and Terry also spent several decades compiling family genealogy and traveling hundreds of miles to meet distant relatives and attend family reunions.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Terry L. Brindle; her children, William Brindle (Tammy) and Suzann Eaton (Sean); her grandsons, Benjamin, Derek, and Conor; her siblings Connie Barrick (Jeff), Ronnie Lescalleet (Linda), John Lescalleet (Lauren Reitz), and Judy Nace (Guy); her brother-in-law Chad Brindle; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is predeceased by her parents, Esther (Miller) and Roy "Jack" Lescalleet; her stepmother, Shirley (Blackburn) Lescalleet; her in-laws, Dorothy (Stone) and George Brindle; and her brothers, Frederick Lescalleet and Jack Lescalleet.

A celebration of Sandy's life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Bethlehem Life Church, 109 E Main St, Dallastown, PA 17313. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, with luncheon to follow at the church. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
