Sandra F. (Shirey) Crone, 81, of York Township, passed away peacefully at York South Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, on Friday, May 24, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late William G. Crone. The couple was married for more than 55 years until his passing in 2018.

Mrs. Crone was born in Spry on May 4, 1943 and was the daughter of the late William and Fae (Weitkamp) Shirey.

Sandra worked for the Bon-Ton as a cashier and retired after many years of service. She was a long-time member of Spry Church. Sandra enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, coloring and loved bird watching from her room's window.

She is survived by her two daughters, Melissa A. Fry and Stacy L. Ehrhart and her husband Richard; four grandsons and two great granddaughters. She is also survived by her two sisters, Linda Etter and her husband Russ and Diane Dennis and her husband Michael.

A service to honor Sandra's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 31, 2024 at The Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with the Rev. Dr.  Kenneth Loyer officiating.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday and will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment to follow in Otterbein Cemetery at Spry Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
