Shelbie Ann Paules went home to be with her Lord Jesus on November 15, 2023.  She anticipated being reunited with her husband Ronald B. Paules and many others precious to her.

Shelbie was born on March 7, 1939, and was the daughter of J. Leroy and Marie Douglas of Dallastown PA.

She is survived by her three children, Sherrie Pettit (Steven), Judy Stein (Bradley) and her son Timothy (Susan).  Blessed with 11 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; three siblings, John and Jan Douglas and sister Janice Fox.

Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family, hosting holiday feasts, lavish gift giving, natural remedies and her passion for teaching. She took special pride imparting knowledge to her many students at York Township Elementary for 25 years. She appreciated the complexity and challenge of numbers.  Shelbie graduated with honors from Dallastown HS in 1957 and later from York College. She loved her country, enjoyed sharing her political views and visited 49 states.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Residence at Fitz Farm, 2200 Springwood Rd., York, PA 17403, followed by light refreshments. Burial will be private.
