Sherry A. (Brown) Daugherty, 62 of Brogue, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, October 19. She was the beloved wife of 44 years to Robert L. Daugherty.

Mrs. Daugherty was born in York on June 18, 1955 and was the daughter of the late Dale and Jacqueline (Rehmeyer) Brown.

Sherry was a unit secretary at the York Hospital for 29 years.  She was a member of Guinston United Presbyterian Church, where she was currently serving as a deacon. Sherry enjoyed flower gardening and traveling. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her three children; Bonnie J. Robbins and her husband Brian of Felton, DE, Diane M. Ritter and her husband Jesse of Brogue and Ryan R. Daugherty and his wife Erin of Lancaster; 1 grandson, Mason; and her 4 granddaughters, Parker, Hailey, Ashley, and Anna. She is also survived by two brothers, Steve Brown and his wife Judith of York and Brad Brown and his wife Nilda of Brogueville; and her sister Denise Blue of Brogueville; as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Carey Brown.

A funeral service to honor Sherry's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October, 24 at Guinston United Presbyterian Church, 14130 Guinston Rd., Airville, PA 17302, with the Rev. Daniel Moore officiating. A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday and will begin at 9:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
