Obituary

Sylvan M. Keller, Sr., 95 of  Windsor, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen A. (Fitz) Keller.

Mr. Keller was born in York Township on January 27, 1923 and was the son of the late Esta (Wineka) Reynolds.

Sylvan was a dock worker and retired from Consolidated Freightways after 21 years of service. Following his retirement he continued to work part time for Shurefine in Spry, until he fully retired at the age of 89. Sylvan enjoyed kayaking, fishing, hiking and traveling. He was a member of Chapel Church for over 90 years. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by a son, Sylan M. Keller, Jr. and his wife Phyllis and by a daughter, Sylvia Smeltzer and her husband Roy; four grandchildren, Chastity Bodkin and her husband Tommy, Brandi Smeltzer and her companion Daniel Winkler, Chad Keller and his wife Patty and Kristina Danielson and her husband Adrian; three great grandchildren, Cadeyn Michael, Keniya and Jiana Danielson. He is also survived by a brother, Jim Reynolds and a sister, Helen McMinn. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Robert and Charles Reynolds and a sister,   Charlotte Reynolds.

A viewing will take place on Friday, July 20 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown and then again from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 21, at Chapel Church, 3050 Cape Horn Rd., Red Lion, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Brendan Hock will be officiating. Interment will follow in Heiland View Cemetery.
