Theresa L. (Smeltzer) Markle, 59, of Red Lion, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Rick L. Markle.

Born in York on November 10, 1965, Theresa was the daughter of Samuel Smeltzer and the late Gloria I. Abernethy.

Theresa dedicated many years of her career to Pfaltzgraff until its closing, after which she continued her work with Marine Tech. She was a woman of many passions, especially drawn to Native American history and artifacts. Known for her love of playing cards—especially Phase 10—Theresa could often be found enjoying games with friends and family or trying her luck at local clubs. Her cooking brought joy to many, especially her peanut butter fudge, taco salad and bean dip and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.

She was a devoted mother to Terri Seifert and her husband Jeramie, Kyle Wonder and his companion Melody Koch, Lorne Markle, and Ricky Feathers and his wife Heather. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Bailey Seifert, Ava Seifert, Ryan Koch, Rayna Koch-Wonder, Rebecca Feathers, Abagail Feathers, Giana Rauhauser, and Caleb Lighty; as well as her step-mother, Cyndi Anama.

Theresa's life will be honored during a viewing from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, August 15th at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, PA 17313, followed by a funeral service beginning at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
